Very nice.I do like the 944's.If I got another it would need to be a very early model without power steering and with narrow cookie cutters and pasha trim.

I think I have one of them somewhere son, hidden behind TR7's and motorbikes.

Adrian, nearly bought an 82 944 a few weeks back, registered in the first week they went on UK sale, a few unique items on it that weren't on many production cars and it was non sunroof which is very sought after, not mint by any means but £600 !!

Was gonna be my next concours project but then I was offered the pre-production TR7

Borrowed one for a week a few years back. Felt bullet proof but not particularly quick and the handling was interesting! Did have a set of cheap tyres all round and was running very low so not exactly as Ferdinand intended.

Very nearly bought a 968 Club Sport and while ago but bought a ZMCoupe instead, should have bought the CS really, the Coupe was disappointing.

One of the best budget track day weapons out there, handling is a stong point on these so surprised by your comment.

                  Performance was their weak point

As I said it was running "Improved" suspension. Also huge Cup wheels, great looking thing all low and black but ruined.

Took the 17" Cups off mine and reverted back to the original 16" wheel, drives so much better.

It's also critical that the geometry on 944's is checked and set properly and that they run a matched set of quality tyres.

I owned a 968 Coupe, never really liked it and reverted back to 944's, too much external plastic on the 968 and they suffer horrendous stone chipping, some very cheap 968's about whereas 944's are firming up for quality examples.

Now a true 968 Clubsport, 2 seats, non sunroof would be a really good buy.
