    Hi all
on the 4th Sept. 2013 ebay started charging the seller 10% fee on post/courier cost, plus 4% paypal.
We all would ask for your support in getting some high profile people involved who may try to help get it changed.
    I have contacted the following:-
    Trading Standards
    Rip off Britain
    Local MP.
    Loveley Annie at Watchdog.

If I may give you an example of the rip off, I send a parcel to Australia, post cost to me is £100, out of that ebay/paypal want 14%.
The following is a copy, if you wouldn't mind copy/paste to any of above it may help.
    Best Regards Yuk.

    To whom it may concern,

I am writing to complain about the recent changes that eBay.co.uk has made to their fee structure regarding postage costs.

They have recently added a new " final value fee" of 10% for every p&p cost a seller has on their items. Postage and packing is both a service (not provided by eBay) and an expense incurred by the seller for shipping costs and packaging materials. Bearing this in mind, surely eBay are not legally allowed to incur a fee against this cost.

Hopefully you are already aware of this new fee implementation and Trading Standards are working towards eradicating this malpractice and resolving the issue.

I look forward to your response and please

Greed seems everywhere these days, and in many ways it is wrongly accepted. We are constantly being ripped of in one way or another and in some cases we are told lies to justify or cover it up!

Lol, I bet you have no idea what the actuall costs of sending an item is for a legit company

I CHARGE £10 per item upto 20kg and most people moan

              It actually costs me £13,30p

It isnt just the cost the courier charges me ( £8,80 )

              there is

              1, price of boxes
              2, price of bubble wrapp
              3, Price of packing tape
4, Labour for the time it takes to wrapp the item
5, phone calls to the courier to get them to collect
6, Ink etc for printers for labels

Im sure there are other small hidden costs

The worst is the actuall time involved

I sold a door glass the other day for £20 plus £10 post

as it was Glass it took loads of bubble wrapp / cardboard / tape to wrapp it in a way it wont get smashed

It wasnt realy worth selling it

Not a problem with TR7 stuff, try to sell it on the forums for next to **** all, when it doesn't sell I throw it in the skip

Got to agree with Paul though, packaging stuff and posting can take ages and in the end not worth the effort.

Also agree EBay fee's are far too expensive but factor these costs into your max bid so that the total is what you are willing to pay not your max + costs.
