The four door sport came with either vinyl or beta cloth trim, the deckchair was later.

And that four door Alan might as well be a two door cos the cage means you cant use the rear door anyway.

It does, I have just changed from 4 to 2 doors and my lot are all moaning about how hard it is to get in and out of the back.

Why not just put the decals on your mk2?

Don't want to pick apart what could be someones pride and joy but......

Seems a bit hardcore for my liking for a road car with its flocked bits cage and race seats, what would you plan to do with it ? On the original ad I can't see any chassis tags in the engine bay does that not worry you ? If I was going to bother of putting a zetec it would be a 2.0 at least on sidedrafts if not throttle bodies.

I really like someone being different with the graphics, but I bet you would be taking the car apart again making sure it's not been chucked together from some a pile of old parts to make a quick profit. Just my opinion from looking at few photos on the internet. If I was to have some gold in the engine bay on a white car it would look like the photos of the 1800 posted the other day! Of course everyone is an expert sitting behind a keyboard, and just my view

Mexico Mark 2's car looks great, something like that with the normal road car go faster Escort bits would make a brilliant car.

Or just go for a Mk2 Jag or VW Jetta

The gold mk2 ghia that's in the for sale section looks a far better option Alan..

This thread has got me reading these.

Which is the only Mk2 4 door which is homologated.

Cheers :-) Just what I plan to do, exhaust is on need to sort a twin choke for it but don't want to take to much of the originality away from it
