Then the rs500 was banned ,,,,the only race car EVER to be banned because the other entrants refused to race against it as they openly admitted it was a waiste of time them trying

the other entrants said if FORD was allowed to run the rs500 they would pull out of ALL touring car races as they couldnt compete

Never before or since has this happened to ANY manufacturer

so they banned turbos and with effect banned the rs500

The RS 500 is NOT a supercar. Certainly not in standard form. As said. The gt40 and the latter Ford GT are the only supercars Ford has ever made.
