  • Voltage regulator?

Hello all, I reckon my voltage regulator is nacked, as the temp gauge shoots up off the gauge and only comes down when the engine is revved...

Does anyone know where I can get one from?

    Thanks

Find an old instrument cluster on eBay - that's what I had to do, I had exactly the same problem !

Not sure if I kept the duffer or not out of mine, if I did I'll bring it with tomorrow.

I have seen electronic replacements on eBay - not speciffically for Fords but it seems lots of old English cars use the same type of regulated voltage for their instruments.

Sorry no item no, have a search under "voltage regulator".

Looked like you would need to do a bit of soldering to get it fitted but as said above new ones are NLA.

              Hi Kel,

I did a couple DIY-replacements for the voltage regulator years ago. Must have a look if I can find what I put into it. Cost was about a couple of guldens, well euros today, not to difficult I would think was probably a 7809 IC .
