Only buy a Porsche if you can afford horrendous running costs and can afford to loose several grand. They "may" be slightly better these days but were always horrendous money gobblers, i.e. a full service including "as standard" discs and pads all round at 25K miles. It would always put me off owning owning one, even if I did have the money.
That bloke was badly unlucky but you can't run a business with the sole purpose of making just enough wedge to buy a car that's about as stupid as it gets...
