Allan Simonsen has passed away in hospital following a crash just 10 minutes into the Le Mans 24-hour race.

Really sad news looking at the youtube footage from Car 74 Corvette(Ollie Gavin), he got the left 2 wheels onto the chicane and the car snapped towards the left and looks like he hit the barrier very hard.

....... and did you notice a Ferrari had a moment further through the corner ....... maybe he was distracted by that .......... sad day

Forgot about the Ferrari looking a fair bit out of shape in front...Maybe he was adjusting his line wider to avoid a collision. We shall never know.

Sadly Dave Richards had to make a very sad call to his family
