Aldridge Trimming

Hi
Has anyone had any dealings with this company or bought MK2 rear quarter panels from them? I bought some and was disappointed with the fit as they would not fit over the arch properly. On contacting the company they seemed unwilling to help. I sent the items back but they now seem unwilling to contact me.

Another member on here with signal amber mex was having similar problems was going to leave his car with them. Car was for sale shortly afterward don't think it made it to Aldridges.
Repro custom cards don't have chrome beading in ads?

Yep, that's right , leon didn't get the rear panels sorted out. Car is for sale without any fitted!!!

I just fitted new door cards to mine last weekend, they fit ok but don't sit down into the clips properly, the top edge is fibreglass and too thick, I had to rivet the scraper seal on and you can see the rivets from outside, which doesn't bother me too much but some people I know wouldn't be happy
The lack of chrome strip seems strange, it can't be that hard to make them up surely, and at the price you would expect them to be there, it's easy to swap them over from RS ones but mine were a bit tatty so didn't bother

I had a pair of the custom front door cards and they were excellent.

Swapped the chrome strips over from my old cards.

The only issue was the inner rubber strip that they recommended that you pop rivet on. This looked crap so I took to my local upholsterer and she stapled them on (like the originals) with an industrial stapler and they looked superb

I got couple of door cards and must admit they look great but doors didn't wana shut properly,but gave it a few slams and were ok...seat covers next

I have had a few things from them over the years and I must say their service has been good...all my parts were mk1 though and fitted ok....they even post out here to OZ without us having to pay your VAT...Happy days

Their Recaro covers fit well and look the part. The service I got was also good, although that's usually the case most of the time, as long as all's well but as soon as something goes wrong though is when most companies do an impression of the Titanic and disappear without trace. Aldridge have been OK so far though.

I have used and would highly recommend Aldridge...I had less than perfect service from a south east based trimmer though.
