Not told her indoors yet but I went and bought another escort this morning, its an auto and pre 75 so it already has the large gearbox tunnel and large front suspension mount holes. Its not perfect (well the car is 35+ years old) and so far I've noted the following:

1. Back panel looks grotty so I'll more than likely fit a new one
2. Spare wheel well is grotty
3. Heater bubble has to come off
4. nsf floor has a small hole in it.
5. Dent in the osr panel

First things first though and I'll probably get it blasted to see if any other nasties are hiding but the chassis/doors/a posts/arches etc are from what I can tell tip top. Not sure if I'll go the replica route this time I might just try to create a retro looking rally car with monte arches and some light weight goodies. No pictures yet as I'm away to China tomorrow and then straight Malaysia so it'll be a couple of weeks before I'm back.
