They come to look at it, they have a good look round it, you show them inside, they want to hear it running, you pop the bonnet, they check the engine...
They want to go for a run in it...
You take them up the road, everything is going swimmingly.
On the way back to your house BAM the bonnet flies up and hits the windscreen... Lovely
Fcuked bonnet and scuttle pannel... Luckily it hasn't smashed the screen.

Moral of the story???

Always make sure you close the bonnet after they have finished!!

As well as all the sh!t and derision with the RS and having to have it trailered home, I also managed to stuff my SAAB Aero convertible into a hedge yesterday as well. Had to avoid some old t!t in a KA coming down one of the lanes near me without giving me any room. Most god almighty bang as the wheel hit something large and hard, knackered alloy (£400), knackered tyre (£130) and I don't know what damage to the suspension as the car made a very nasty noise after that.

The irony - when I called SAAB Assist to come and pick it up, it was the same guy who turned up to trailer the RS home - Thanks Chris from KAP.

Still waiting for the estimate but I think it will be at least £1k so it will have to go through the insurance.

Erm, I think he had blond hair, it was cropped very short, he had quite thick glasses and was, well, a little bit porky. Nice bloke though, looked after the RS well.
