I really like it with the steels on it. IMHO the 50s just look too a small overall. I did once see a Mk2 on 15" Minilite style alloys with 50 profiles and they filled the arches nicely, though of course completely non standard, but it kind of suited it I felt.

Just plain old 4 polished 4 spokes on mine with the 70 series tyres...the bigger issue being that they haven't turned much in 12+ years.

Steels or four spokes matters not , what a lovely car either way , very jealous I am.

I like the steels more than alloys but in either case balloon tyres are a must on an Escort.....Great looking car by the way...

I put split rims on my xpack rs2000...I liked it but almost everyone tore me apart for not sticking to proper alloys and tyres.....I have to agree...skinny tyres on old skool escorts are crap!!...got to be thick and chunky!!

Wheels are nice but the tyres are silly & will ruin the drive of an otherwise standard car.

Yes to Cibies but only on proper AVO brackets. Supers up top. Oscars on the bottom.

Mickey, are those JBW 7x13 wheels? Do you need spacers to fit? They look lovely!

I have to agree Adrian. See pic.

Mickey it's your car do as like with it, if it makes you happy & you enjoy it that's what counts.
Me I'd have gone for 6x13 GP1 Mk1 RS alloys. Similar look to the 7" wheels, but were available in period.

Lovely car, not seen that one before.

55 profile tyres are available and would fill the arch a bit more on the ronals.

As Tyga says "too much rim make the ride too hard".

I only put it on a trailer when I've broke it.
