For some strange reason I managed to tax the car for a full year the week before the MOT so something tells me I might just keep the revs up :compress:

              LOL
Next time I'm going to get a ramp at the front door and give it a Bo & Luke Duke job straight over the 'Shake the living shit out of your suspension' rollers and straight onto the lift in its current position. If that trucks still there, (which looking at it it just might), I'll jump it too.
              Yeee Haaa

That would have been nice but over in N. Ireland the MOT centres are ALL owned and run by the government (Driver and Vehicle Testing Agency DVLA)

The test is unbelievably hard, where they test the car while you sit and watch. All done electronically, brakes, suspension, emissions ect. Then just in case they haven't ****ed you off enough with computers they stick her on a lift and beat seven bells of shit out of it with an iron bar. Even on that lift they have a gismo to grab the front wheels and pull the steering and front end to bits.

When you fail you apply for a retest within 21 days and they just look at the points it was failed on.

You always used to fail on number plates not being the correct size or with incorrect spacing but now, as Brian pointed out, it seems to be headlamp alignment.

Retest = more work for MOT centers = overtime for testers.
Not that I'm a cynic or anything!
