help!! which insurance company!!!

insurance due nxt month on RS 2000 mk2. Engine has been modified slightly from standard. Apart from engine & 5sp gearbox, car is standard. (taffr,s old car). got some quotes y,day, i know insurance has increased but omg. I,ve had quotes of £1,500 to £14,900 on internet. £200 last yr, but not heard from present company yet. any ideas????

I just got the sunbeam insured with HIC, for £300 all mods declared and agreed value with salvage retension.

was pretty happy with that !

Thats without using my no claims and on a classic policy

im sure taff uses Hagerty so they will know the car, as said good people there
