what polish and cleaning products?

Just been and bought myself a modern car with metallic black paint and I want to give it a good clean and valet but I am unsure of what products are good any more since I have not cleaned a car in about 13 years lol. I always used to use autoglym stuff but wondering what products do other people use or recommend nowadays?

I use Auto glym again also detailer spray 3 for 2 in Halfords

There are absolutley loads of different waxes and polishes from varrious people.

Have a look on net for Meguiars, Zymol, poorboys, dodo juice.

meguiars have a nice little app for the phone to explain all as well.
