I'd quite happily put a cosworth, zetec, duratec motor in a 1300L, Ghia, Four Door, Van, Estate with the necessary upgrades.

But a Twincam, RS1600, Mexico etc... I like to see them with original engines & period modifications.
Although that would include FVA engines & oversize bubble arches

I like Ford Engines in Ford cars. But you will find me in the Old School.

I agree totally with Mark on this.

I've gone down the Duratec powered Pop Plus route, and am that "Old School" I don't call a "Group 4" and correct people who do !

But then the misuse of "Group 4" is one of my pet hates.

I would also like to ask some the Australian forum members what their fellow countrymen would think of an Holdern engine in a Ford ?

Simple answer to that question is watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBusULuWCoY
Things have thankfully changed since then but you still have staunch supporters that would burn a HOLDEN COMMODORE V8 shoehorned into a FORD FALCON XR engine bay

I appreciate anything tidy and well done, be it a 1.1 pop, RS1800 standard or tastefully modified, and everything in between, I love to look at concours standard stuff but I couldn't live with one, my car gets used and abused up to a point, but not to the point of wrecking it...
As for engines, I'd be quite happy with a duratec or XE in there when the pinto gives up

modded old school, but ford engines only.......

Holdens are rubbish which is why you'd never put one of their engines in a ford.....

Whilst i appreciate a nice original looking Mk1/2, the look sound and speed of a MK2 rally car or Mk1 with a cosworth are the ones for me.
Please please please can I be in the 'Clique'

Period mods on mine but I do appreciate the engineering of a lot of the heavily modded motors with modern engines, I draw the line at cossie turbo,s in Mk1 and 2,s, nowt wrong with a n/a cossie motor, but that's just me.
Gone to the Dark Side but still lurking!
