If it don't work out you can always go back

Don't close your uk bank accounts

If the family get home sick go back to blighty for a holiday

Why do I say this? My ex wife got home sick and we moved back to the uk as we had closed all bank accounts we started all over again and within 2 months she told me she had made a mistake so worked me nuts off and we moved back to oz. Bit of an expensive exercise so happy to pass on my experience

I would miss family ,as my family out in Warwick miss us all here.
Would miss the closeness of towns and places.I can get to Leeds,Harrogate,Skipton,Bradford all in half an hour,my daughters nearest town is 1 hour away and her second nearest town 2 hours away !!!
I can get to London in 3.1/2 hours it's 200 miles ,she takes nearly 10 hours to Sydney, and to the Capital will be over 12 hours !
We have rain ,they have lots of rain too !
My nearest hospital for major surgery is 20 minutes away hers is 3 hours away !So the large distances would get me down and the pubs and social life, are poor !
And I can watch rallies here frequently by travelling 60 miles or less .
Would I like to live abroad ? NO ! Do I like to visit all these places yes,and I have, and they are ALL brilliant to see,and god have I travelled, but there is NO place like home !

but oyu will get warm weather, hot weather cold weather but not snow unless you want to go and visit it!

When you're missing pork pies give me a shout and I'll take you to cafe that makes them, tbh I don't miss uk food and oz has changed heaps in 14 years since i "landed" and stuff like Branston pickle, hob nobs etc are now available in most supermarkets. One thing I did notice though is fish tastes totally different and that took me a while to get used to.
