The convoy up was a big part of the lakes tour weekend for me , but in recent years the conveoy doesnt seem to be as popular as it used to be and a lot of people seem to make their own way up to the heaves now

It was an awesome sight seeing 40/50 mk1's and mk2's together going up the M6

What was really awsome was 2007, about 40 cars in tow and i leg it to the front to tell Taffr to slow as we'd lost robbo, not 20 secs later robbo flies past, 1800 bouncing about on the trailer LOL must have been doin three figures.......

Leaving from Windlesham so junc 3 M3. Would be good to meet up with Farnham boys, then maybe others at a service area?
I'm probably taking two door mk1 Cortina it's going into paint shop this week, so lets hope it goes off quick enough lol. My 1800 is minus it's engine but there's a small chance it will be back in by then.

Yes lets meet up like we did in 07 40cars+ what a great site to see all these cars going up from sandbach services to the heaves. We need to meet up at 10.30 and wait and leave at 11.30 as it gives every one chance to get there and have a look and catch up.
