Ford Shootout 2006...

I have posted this up on the Passionford site to see what the interest would be like.....so thought i would post on here to gain some of your input.

So then - suggestion.

Mid May event @ elvington for the Ford Shootout.

Depending on cost of equipement and hiring of the track - will ask chris about this later.

How many cars do you think we could get to compete in this event....

The results could be used for TOTB entry for the ford team if need be.

Not sure on spectators etc, maybe a minimum charge to simply pay for the event - all tickets to be prebooked incase it rains this will then cover costs incase of this and no one comes.

Have a 1/4 and a top speed event only.

Maybe Performance Ford would be interested in the event - can you comment if you would be interested or not.

Class's IMHO should be

FWD Turbo'd
FWD N/A

RWD Turbo'd
RWD N/A

4x4 Turbo'd
4x4 N/A

Special - kit cars/NOS/Funny Fuel Etc

Full drag slicks allowed as then the best times will be recorded.
Cars have to be driven there (LOL) well be tax'd and tested.

Entry should be Ford Only - or maybe ford powered things ?

Has anyone else got any other idea's suggestions etc....

Be good to get this off the ground rather than just thinking about it

sounds a good idea dingy but i dont think there are that many cars on here that are at a competitve level (apart from yours...lol)

saying that ,this is probably where a lot of the higher powered RWD n/a cars are (we must have some on here) I mean they dont make RWD fords anymore so they must be in the old skool somewhere

good idea if u wanted 2 get more older stuff there u could open the class's to 8v and multi valve class's

Class's are hard - too many and it gets confusing....

dave the sprint is a good idea mate - you book it and i will come ;-) its only 240 i think for a day and they do 10 cars in the day....

sprint is a good idea, once ive got my mk2 built id like to do some sprints but more intresting that drag but cheapin that racin or rallin
