                      Don't panic - be patient:

                      "Although it's not been announced that there will be a return to the pre-1997 rolling exemption, but as this comes into effect at the 40-year point, it's a good chance that this looks to be the case."

                      Great news for the classic car movement... I bet net next year they announce a law that makes you scrap cars over 40 years old!

                            SORN notices are to become "indefinite" and not an annual declaration that needs renewing.

                            My guess though a new SORN will be required to be declared by a new owner when a vehicle is sold but still not put on road

                              My car was built in Sept 73 but registered in Jan 74.
                              What paperwork do I need to go tax free??
