I got one about twelve months ago, supposed to be from my brother. I copied the first sentence and searched it on the internet to quickly realise it was a scam. I rang my brother just to make sure and he was happy to confirm it was definately a scam but it had caused havoc for him as they had removed all his contacts and he could not contact all of them to warn them in case they had an email too. First thing he did was to change all his passwords and he advised me to do so too. Eventually he sorted himself out but it took a lot of time and effort.
