i broke down 5x on my first outing, never left behind, plenty of people willing to help, (i couldn't get near the car at one stage due to everybody helping)

issues on 2nd tour with a blown crank seal & a fuel leak was the best. spent more in oil than i did in fuel.... and the starter wouldnt turn the engine over if warm saw us stopping very often for £20 of fuel, poppint the bonnet and pouring cheap oil in while not letting the engine die

      loved every moment.

I think louis (yellowcustom) got it in 2009 after his weekend long antics with his green mk1 rs2000.. Remember it outside the hotel getting the propshaft changed
Think alex will remember this oh too well after his near miss in ABO

Gary Simpson got it one year, him and I built YCX from a bare shell in 5 16-18 hour days in my workshop. friday was the longest, remember the noise of the Warrior going up my street at 1.30am friday night sat morning after starting at 8.30 Only for a breather pipe and slack exhaust to stop him 5-6 miles into the tour

Remembering he drove the car all the way there and not trailored

          Never worked so hard since!!

you may or may not like this, but a proud dad watched in shock as his son Lewis received the Ray Goldie memorial trophy in 2011

Lewis passed his test that year and never driven on the motorway before, he drove all the way from southampton to the lakes, and did the tour in his newly built Mk1 Fiesta 1.1, and before you ask whats a FWD Fiesta doing on the tour, he was invited as a guest

A certain young man falling on a fire or Gabriel stuffing his face with sweets then throwing up in the bloody tent
