ive been recently looking for a few of my dads old cars on the net - a couple that he remembered were an red MG PB of 1935, AOT 422 and a MG Magnette of 1958, WRU 45 ............. well tonight ive found this pic on the magnette forum 
......... needless to say dad's chuffed to bits as it still lives apparently 
this car was sold to pay for the furniture and carpets for the new house after they got married !!!!!!!! .......... it even happened back then !!
