  • Last day !

Well here it is my last day at Millington racing engines!
    It's come around quickly.

I'm not sure quite how it feels, sad because I love building and helping develop the millington engine, and good because I'm going to work for myself doing engines.

I've met a lot of great people, had some good experiences, and been involved with some nice projects over the last 10+ years there.

I wish all Millington customers the best of luck with the coming season!

Thanks to all the people who have txt and rang me with their best wishes regarding my new venture!

    Best wishes Wayne.
Despite mixed feelings I'm sure you will enjoy the achievement of working for yourself. I left a pensionable job in aircraft maintenance after 21 years in 2004 to set up my own business & despite the recession etc I dont regret it.

Hope you get many new customers (and old ones), and good luck with the venture.

Good luck! You won't regret it, it's great not having a boss to tell you what to do! Or threaten you!

Good Luck Wayne. Hope it goes from strength to strength.

On a serious note, anyone know how much capital you need to set up your own business these days.

Probably a 64K dollar question, ball park figure from those in the know is enough.

Is it 50K, 100K or am I way off ?

It'll be interesting to see what slant you put on the engines you choose

Cool . You just need a catchy name now such as "Mitchell's Autos" like in Eastenders , lol .
