Did anyone watch CAR SOS last night, resto on a 3 door cossie, not too bad but still more entertainment than documentary. A lot of filming done at Ford Fair, repeated several times over this coming week.

I watched this last night. Thought it was very good. Couple of naff moments where they mess about but good entertainment. Nice to see the finished result & the bloke was well deserving.

watch Wayne Carrini's 'Chasing Classic Cars' - oh and his budgets runs into Millions of $$$ - see the difference? Lighten up and treat it as light entertainment.

I like the idea of this program and do watch it from time to time. The only thing that really winds me up though is the man himself. I hate him with a passion & just want to get up & punch the TV He really is hateful.
As said though, The program is good though if I can somehow ignore him!

I don't know about that, after the "resto" he banged on about much better the car felt and wanting 12K for it. If you're going to make a fuss about "doing up" an old car but then proceed to waste 500 quid on fitting a totally unnecessary LSD but leave rusty/worn 40+ year-old suspension parts on the car (after it has been hunted across fields) and want to be taken seriously, it's probably a bit too much to expect.

As said, this is reminiscent of car sales at the bottom end of the market, a right Arthur Daley character, i.e. stuff a bry-nylon shirt into the gearbox etc...

wernt to bad at all really was it a few bollox moments and Mike and his 3 door .
They allways forget to mention bits they change, me and the missus take great delight in spotting the new parts they forgot about

I watched it last night, not that bad

It is aimed at a wide audience so attention to detail will be lost, but as for the cost. It must of run at a loss, that paint job etc.
As mentioned, LSD, total over kill, must of had one lying around.

I notice this series their doing a TVR Cerbera, was my bread and butter, cant wait to put them down on that....
