Bad news i am afraid, took the car out today and got caught out in a rain shower on a country road, the back end stepped out on a corner just after where the anti skid surface stopped. it snapped back and through me into the bridge, the front near side corner took the full impact pushing the wheel back into the bulkhead. there is a good chance that i will not get this repaired before the tour, i will post some pictures up as soon as i figure out how to do it.
At the moment it is at a friends bodyshop so i will not know the full extent of the damage until it is tripped and on the jig, however the first signs are that the chassis hasn't moved. but all the suspension and steering components are damaged also the wheel and tyre is damaged beyond repair. i think it would br prudent for me to pull out and let someone on the reserve list have my spot now that way they can get everything ready.
i do apologise for messing you around i am gutted that it has happened and i am gutted that i will miss the tour for another year.
i will be back next year though bigger and better.

this was after we took the big hammer to the copression strut to allow me to get the spare wheel on and piulled the front wing out to allow thw wheel to turn.

Still is a nice car mate. I have been through alot worse than this mate, this is only a scar.
