Andy, you shouldnt of accepted the goods, let alone mess with them at your cost.

Are you sure it was weld splatter and not a residue from the plating of the rods? What you should have done is contacted Rally Design as soon as you noticed and they would have sorted it out for you. You certainly shouldn't have tried to get it repaired yourself as you have then modified what you bought so the onus is down to you. You would have had same response from me if you tried to repair a part that I might have sold you. I'm sorry but it's your fault.

How the **** can it be my fault Firstly who would of paid for the return parcell ME then Iwould of hadto wait for the return parcell and them sort out whos to blame. I want to get this car finished this year not in 3 years time When you pay good money for kit you would exspect it to be right

Totally agree, the thing is though if you do get faulty gear, it's always best to contact the seller first and describe your problem to them.
If they say "get it repaired and we'll refund it the difference", then fine.
Usually though, they will send labels and, in turn, return it to their suppliers.
So whilst I fully agree with you, I think the law says you have to give the seller a chance to sort out your problem first.

As far as using genuine parts, I agree with that too. I never fit anything else to my cars unless it's a thoroughly insignificant part. The aftermarket/pattern stuff just isn't as good; unless it's supplied by the original equipment manufacturer, i.e. Bosch, Valeo, Visteon ...

Had a similar bad experience with RD today, ordered 2 pair of 6 piece seat mounts earlier this week as I want to fit my new seats this weekend ,only ordered them off them as they were supposed to be a complete set and my preferred supplier did not have any on stock.parcel arrived today as planned but when opened no bolts present.I rang them to ask why to be told having checked with the chap who picked the order that they did not have the bolts on stock so obviously did not send any ,no thought to put a note in with the package to advise me ,so won't get the bolts till mid next week ,makes me wonder if I had not raised it would they have bothered,as it turns out I could have got some today from me supplier up the road who had contacted me to say the stock had arrived.
This is why I only use RD as a last resort and usual just for non critical items and fixings and not for any major components as you get what you pay for and their quality is not a patch on the main Rally Prep parts suppliers who use their parts on their own cars and supply each other with specific items .

Further to my rant yesterday with regards RD to be fare to them I have to retract an element of it as our postman has just been at 9.30 this morning and delivered the bolts so they must have packed them at 4.0 pm last night and got them on first class post ,I will give positive feedback were it is due so RD have redeemed themselves on this occasion .My feelings as regards quality of certain parts are still the same though .
