As for Johns car, any 1800 used to sell without going to public market, for these to start appearing on general sale and EBay without selling speaks volumes about the lack of high end Escort buyers, no one buys high in a falling market.
So if buyers set the price and with the market saying £34k for one of the more honest 18's is that the new top end figure ?
Is the £37k 11,000 mile RS2000 now looking a tad expensive ?
I would compare it to the housing market, it's had it's boom time, lots of people have made good money out of them but unfortunately many are sitting with negative equity who bought at the wrong time.
