Wheel refurb.

Hi, looking to get the wheels off the RS refurbed after Christmas. Looking on Lepson's site they have closed the Swindon operation. I have found a place in Tewkesbury, "Alloy Wheel Repairs" and wondered if anyone on here had used them and if they were any good.

After a 4 week wait I finally picked up my wheels today from Platinum Wheels in Swindon. They initially had a problem getting all the corrosion pit marks out and in fairness did email me some photo's to show me. Luckily for me they did as I noticed they had painted them silver, not dove grey. I rang them to tell them the mistake and they were only too pleased to do them again in the correct colour.
They rang me again a couple of days later to say they were having trouble getting the right colour so I emailed the paint code.
So what do I think. Quality of the job is pretty good but unfortunately I still think the colour is not right, it's more of a silver grey. See pics below and let me have your thoughts.
Whilst having these done I also took one of my Group 1 alloys to see what they could do with it and this one is first class. Again see pics below.
In conclusion 85% happy with the 5 off. As I said before quality of job is good but colour not so. They have stuck with the price originally quoted so not all bad. Very happy with the group 1 alloy and will be having the other 7 done at some point.

I'm thinking of getting them to do mine. How much they charge to straighten the Group 1 Phil ?

I'm with you, it is a touch dark but I will live with it until the other group 1's are done then fit them.
