  • CCC Project Mexico

does anyone know what happened to car and car conversions mexico built around 1993 as a tribute to the one they built in the 70's. The car was olympic blue but repainted white easier to repair if rattled in competition with red stripes.Scary to think its almost 20 years on again

I've got a copy of Nov 90 CCC when they announce the project. The reg no. is REP 300M. It was indeed Olympic blue and I remember they changed it to white. DVLA site list it as white.
Just looked at the DVLA website and it doesn't look to have been taxed from 1993.

I used to love C&CC, recently I've purchased a few copies for old time reading and realised what useless journalism modern mags like Classic Ford etc are.

Take note any editors, people can still and do like to read, interesting articles, in depth projects etc. A page full of text is a thing of the past.

I to was very sad to see CCC go to the wall.

I seem to remember the Project Mexico sat in a garage unloved for some time after it's initial build and use and was dragged out to be recomissioned for another article in the magazine

What happened to it in the end I have no idea.

it must have been about 1992 at donnington, think the driver was russell (CANT REMEMBER HIS SECOND NAME)He drove for HT racing in the vecta series.the car left the track at the old hairpin, so he just looked at me grinned and kept his foot inthen we overtook some of those slow rs 500's too

I too used to love CCC i was mortified when my folks chucked my collection after i had left home. and i agree about the lack of textual content in today's mags. The photography is great but please give us more to read.
