got a call late Saturday night from Angharads friends,they had been to see the Sheffield steelers (ice hockey) and she (Angheard) fell and has broken the Fibia AND Tibia and was taken to Sheffield Northern general.

Obviously we travelled up immediately and got back late last night, however due to the severity of the 'breaks' then it has to be an operation probaably tuesday or wednesday, she is in a lot of pain and very upset (also having a fear of Hospitals doesnt help)

going back up there tomorrow to 'be there' for the operation and give her suppport

thanks guys,
she has her graduation in a few weeks time at sheffield and we were all so looking forward to that, a proud moment when she receives her MA, she has also just started her PHD at Nottingham Uni therefore this puts a spanner in the works somewhat, and on top of that she had just landed a nice part- time job in meadowhall, all this on top of Christmas too. She is heartbroken.

saturday night / yesterday she had THREE different casts put on her leg to assess how to repair the damage, however we have just been informed that casts will be no suitable so its an operation for plate and pins, probably tomorrow.

i will be heading back there to comfort her tomorrow, her Boyfriend / flatmates are with her today

Same breaks as my mum has. , she slipped on some ice last wk.. Poor old girl is 68 and has arthrities in her knees and it's the good leg of the two that's broke..

Still no news of when she can have either surgical treatment or the cage fitted, early indications are Thursday, maybe later than that. Her mojo has picked up a little, however she is still in a lot of pain
