  • Garage floor Colour ???

Ok Guys, I decided that I would paint the floor in whats going to be my new garage, this is what I started with and is about 1/4 of the floor area.

Problem is now this part is Red, it appears to make the whole area look a lot duller, and I wonder if Grey would have been a better choice
What do you think is the best floor colour to use ?

If you want it, get it, before someone else beats you to it.

I prefer grey as it is a bit more "airy", but as long as its tidy and clean it doesnt matter to much

Mines grey. Its makes the place look brighter and its easier to spot any small bits that you drop.

I like the look of the white walls and grey floor, im wondering wether to use the red to seal the floor now that I have it, and then get grey for the next coat. I like your idea Adrian re finding small bits, because if anyone is good at dropping them and not finding them again, its me .
That is a nice tidy garage you have there Stan

I did mine grey because it makes it seem a bit brighter. I wish I'd smoothed the concrete first. I also with it was still this colour, it's a right mess now.

lighter the better, remember your lights are on the ceiling so if you're fannying about under your car you want somet that will reflect as much light as possible, even if you have an inspection lamp under the car with you a light grey will reflect the light a lot better than dark red.

Not if it's carpeted over the paint like mine.
