Any David Sutton road cars?

Bit of an odd thing happened in my shop yesterday.

Whilst talking to a customer about the work |I'm currently doing on my RS2000 another customer in the queue said "oh me and my husband had an RS2000"


Anyway ended but having a bit of a chat and she told me a few stories of the car she called a "Dave Sutton" car?

Did they produce road cars, sell tuning stuff?

She's going to bring some pictures in I hope.

Odd that that was what she called it.

I'm sure he used to sell mk2 mexico's,mk2 rs2000's,mk3 rs16's.??..

I think he did have some sort of dealership selling mk2 mexicos and rs2000's and even rs16i's years ago,now and then you would get a car for sale ,saying in the ad a "David sutton"car,or did I imagine it..

My older sister had a MK2 RS2000 Custom before I even past my driving test, that she bought new from W.H. Perry in Finchley, North London. And then moved onto a MK1 Golf Gti and then an UR Quattro! Needless to say I was always trying to borrow her cars she is now 57 and drives a new Mustang

She used to scare the sh1t out of me in the Audi

We were all a bit younger once
