I've been offered a job offshore with Apache in the North sea as an instrument tech, after being made redundant from the oil refinery that closed in Essex. I'm still awaiting a medical due to breaking a tooth, and I'm not go into the 5K for two implant teeth and the start delay its cost me !!

Have a look at oil careers.co.uk, Woodgroup PSN, Petrofac all the operators e.g BP,Shell,Total,Chevron,Marathon,Nexen and plenty more I have missed. Perenco do the SNS too.

Would be worth speaking with macrs2k and Louie work offshore and were very helpful to me with my questions.

      Best of luck !
      Steve

Also look at mac international from holland, he might be a good option to get you started off shore/ overseas

How weird is that, we do the same thing and were both looking to do the same, good luck Vinnie.
I cant help you out because ive only just started thinking along those lines myself.
I take it you have the same feelings lately about what we do then .

It's all well and good thinking about it, but it's alot easier if your a tim served marine or plant mechanic...

Remember it's not just your career your changing but your lifestyle and that of you family,
I can go away for up to 12 weeks and that's asking alot of anyone at home.
