  • Team Curtis does it again

Kev does it again and walks away with the top car at the national motor museum's simply classic show, today.
Well done Kev and dave, keeps our little Escorts in the fore front of the Classic car seen. I think alot of the visitors were stunned!

Also there was a white 1978 Mk2 Mexico, not a mint car but fantastic as the owner purchased it from English Ford, Bounemouth. Never been restored and never been garaged. Top struts and inner wings never been welded, even though very light surface rust. Needs some simpathetic restoration keeping it as original as possible.

    Mark.

great show...and local for once, all types of cars there, was good to see the car against other makes, jaguar, daimler and talbot etc. well done son, had really good feedback from the general public, the Belgium visitors were amazed at how we dispalyed the car etc,

headlines in our local could read.....curtis receives lord montys trophy

i thought we would be in with a chance cause we had our shorts on
as dave said was so different to do a non ford event just to see how the car would stand up against other concours cars.we didnt see many of the pizz takers off here but the general public and other classic car owners seemed to enjoy the banter.dave gave the game away and said we used cillit bang to clean the car.a freelance journalist and a member on the car side of beaulieu were judging and we managed to get the result.
lots of nice comments on the car, never seen so many people around it even when were preparing it for the short journey home.
lovely weather and a great location added to a perfect day.
cheers dave sorry you didnt get a bus ride
