I was browsing the net as usual and saw a car I really liked, then had thoughts of selling up to release funds. I got as far as writing up a description, and selecting photos, the next step being to contact the owner of the car I was looking at to arrange a viewing.

Apart from the kids saying "no don't sell it dad", when it came to the realisation I may not see the car again, I changed my mind..... for now.

How close have you come to selling, and what changed your mind ?

I wrote the advert out for my car last year, when I had a real hankering over a 3 door or escort cossie

I Also come close when I see a nice lotus sunbeam for sale

I still have the advert saved ...you just never know

As for what changed my mind , I think after a year without the escort I would regret selling it and want another

So glad I managed to get by and keep it!

Have thought about selling many times, each time I'm glad I didn't do it.
I just wish I had the time to get on with the rebuild, it will be done one day

i know the feeling mate, i considered selling both my toys, and my hoard of parts to fund a white Escos (the one that i was babysitting for the winter)

but then i saw the light, and instead have made it my life plan to one day buy a red one and have all 3 toys ............... a guy can dream right

Mallard Green is lovely though, but i think a MK1 Mex is a much better option

When I get a car I tend to keep them for a long time. Did toy with selling YUE last year as I did quite fancy a 911. In the end I just couldn't do it. Even after the horrific demise of the car in may, I toyed with many other cars but came back to an escort.

I think about selling my car regular or every time i drive it on the road! I hate it.
But when i use it on track or on a stage i realise why i have it and change my mind
