Lol. To be fair it's a very nice standard looking car unarched, glass, 13 inch wheels, leaf springs, nice city blue, just very well set up for circuit use rather than a rally car. Some very nice touches, like yours has .It does have a cage, but i wouldn't fancy a heavy roll in an old escort at track speeds without one. It did hold it's own against some powerfull turbo cars and showed plenty a clean set of heals, being able to carry itself in and out of corners much quicker. Not going to be as quick as you up the strip, but would almost certainly be quicker on circuit. Horses for courses etc ! I remember my first track day, 350 bhp cossie, fast as f***, i thought ,until i got on track and a stripped sorted xr2 showed me the way. That was an eye opener.
Oh, it did arrive on a trailer, but he came from the south coast , not sure i'd fancy that journey in a mk2 with 60 litres of fuel in cans, tools, four spare tyres, jack , helmets and your passenger

Toyos then swapped to ff slicks in the afternoon as i may do Retro Ford Brands not committed yet as i might join in with a caterham meeting sounds more fun

Might do some gopro you tube stuff at the end of the year

Is it not time you finished those treads jo used to do a pair every year ! i dont think they would give good feed back 4 wheel drifting at 80mph !

Cheers for the info but plenty of fast track cars are shite slow in a proper race (no power) . It's easy to make a slow car handle especially if on full slicks with half the car missing too save weight .
If i did trackdays etc then i would just use a cheap 130bhp pinto in a mega light plastic and perspex 4 door shit heap on full slicks . Probably even get a trailer for it as well , lol .

I've had race cars before and they are shite unless you're a millionare and can afford to jetset around in a motorhome racing them everyweek .
Waste of money so now i just blow the slow c++ts away on drag strips and dual carrage ways for a laugh in a comfy road car , lol . Much more enjoyable seeing as they think they will win .
