    Too right, Tony.

At this stage, though, I don't think a build plate will turn up unless it's carried by Lord Lucan while riding Shergar.

I have Halewood production figures for Escort twincams.
Supplied by a reputable source, I still have the letter that came with them.

But they are not worth the paper they are written on, as the figures are wrong.

Dan is it an in depth buyers guide, or just a quick check list of each model..??
By in depth I mean each model has its own section, with year on year changes.

Well spotted! I do hope they proof read the contents of the book before publication!

There are two Ls on the PDF I've been given - Chesney's must have fallen off or rotted away. Is it trying to tell us something about our Escorts?

It's about buying Escorts rather than a model rundown. It's all very formulaic to fit in with an existing series, so I'm trying to work some specific Escort info into the standard chapters. It's all a case of juggling with the allocated word count.

Sadly no space for change points but I'm aiming to squeeze in stuff about shell differences, easy fake recognition and that kind of thing.

Mark, to keep on topic I'll drop you a PM about Halewood paperwork, if that's okay?

If you need help from a £9.99 paperback to fake an RS, I doubt you'd make a very good fake.

To be fair, there's always something left to the imagination - all the more reason for experts to know for sure what they're looking at is or isn't the real thing.

Production figures are as reliable as the chart from which they are provided. If they are 'not worth the paper they are printed on ....' then we lose all faith.

The figures I usually quote came from an impeccable source at Ford-UK HQ a few years ago. Does this mean that this source could not be trusted then ?

Nice one Mark, and thanks for offering what you have. Hopefully it will be of use to Dan.

Does anyone else have any build sheets for any model of Haleswood Mk2 Escort ? If so please contact Dan (DWR on here) or myself, thanks guys.

If you want it, get it, before someone else beats you to it.
