  • another marathon journey

clocked another 240 miles friday afternoon, to try to get my rs2000 back on the road, this time it was to LEPSON'S to put my four spokes in for refurbishment, as my 7" superlites now rub, since i have lowered the car. not sure which tyres i should put back on them once done?? any ideas?
hopefully get them back before next friday, as we are off to the SEOC national day saturday morning, camping over then into the show sunday.

i will have a set of 7" supers for sale really soon if anyone fancy's a set, only done about 2000 miles on 'em, with tyres........albeit cheap ones! but loads of tread, with nuts etc.

it will have to be brief, as i gotta get back home, get tyres, then get them on the car, unless i get lepsons fit the tyres. it took me and the missus 6 hours to get there and back from hampshire, because of a mini bus fire on the m20, we carried on round the m25 to junction2, but just before that, there was another accident so we had to wait a while!! why cant anything be near me???

i had loads of trouble on the M25 when i went to burtons the other week, in both directions, i dont know how people cope with that every day. i am so glad i live somewhere relatively traffic free!!

UK traffic is absolutely flamin' nuts! I've demonstrated repeatedly that, no matter what road you're on, no matter what time, you will ALWAYS have sight of another car either behind you or in front of you. I don't know how you guys cope - it drives me nuts!

In Bavaria or Provence where I live (both) you can actually go out for a "Sunday Drive" and not meet another car for ages. The indigenous population seems to take to bikes or BBQ's at weekends. Maybe, just maybe, (LOL!) having 24 hour 7 day a week shopping doesn't help in UK. Doesn't anyone have fridges anymore?

(I'm not griping - I just feel sorry for you guys! I guess RMinOz could also add a story or two about driving two days without seeing anyone!)

                        Happy M25 parking!
