Got a sky+ hd box at home and when you try to record something on it 50% of the time it won't do it, just says failed when you go into the menu.And theres still around 60% of its memory left
Anyone had this? And what was it?

Have you tried resetting box usually clears all faults
Switch of box remove card clean chip waite 3 mins switch back on waite till box boots up then insert card

Mine was doing this just before xmas or freezing altogether. I phoned Sky and they said £65 for engineer to come out and I said..fine just cancel my sky £71 a month...they tried for half price engineer and I said No...finally they sent a guy out and I ended up with a larger capacity Sky Plus box!!
