help please -- computer virus

a screen has appeared on my home computer with a very alarming and convincing message saying illegal activity has been detected ??

it appears my computer has been locked ?

it will unlock my computer if i pay a fine of £100 by means of Ukash

any ideas how i get rid of this, i have Macfee etc on so puzzled as to how it passed this

your help appreciated (please keep it simple as i am not too good with computers)

Can you do a system restore or is it totaly locked out

As alan said, type in your search box, bottom left corner, restore..... then pick a point ie yesterday, and restore the system to that point, should restore in 10mins, also delete browsing history and temp internet files , to prevent re boot and stop going on dodgy sites
