Final details of the event

Excuse me for asking this - newbie never been before - When do we get details sent to us about the event?

I plan to travel up on Friday night after work late to my parents place in Keswick ETA about midnight some 270 miles from my place down south. Is there anything happening on Friday night worth popping in for on my way past Kendal or does it all kick off on Saturday am?
