Almost there.. going to fit poly bushings on the ARB as there is a bit of movement in the rubber ones.
Got the new carb set up correct now.
Failed to get the car running as smooth as I wanted on the IDF's I decided to go back to a twinchoke for the moment. May put a stage1 head on sometime later.
Steve, if I was local it would be fairly easy I reckon, assuming the engine is back in time, but I'm back from London late Friday then away again early doors Monday morning. The lads are on stand by for Saturday / Sunday though
Cheers Glyn, got a lot done but there's a lot still to do
Well the latest re: the engine is that I "might" get it back tomorrow. If not I'm back in London on Monday and will just have Thursday / Friday to collect it, put it back in, get it running, get it set up, oh and get an MOT on the car - it's not over yet

Tested the car two weeks ago with a short trip from Derby to Matlock 20 miles, for a quick pose, on the way back the passenger side calpier decided to stick and cooked the brakes and wheel bearing grease nice. Rebuilt both calipers, new biscs pads wheel bearings etc.and managed to get some sweet disc to hub stainless steel locking tabs off the web, I can send anyone the details if required. Fingers crossed one more cold night in the garage and 888 will be road worthy again. A 450mile tour should be a good test, first propper road trip in 2 years.
I know what you mean. Mine didn't arrive on Saturday so when I get back home on Thursday its all hands to the pump. We're still not beaten
Hoping to have mine in and running for Thursday, just got to try and get carbs set up then . If not I'll just have to get it as good as I can !
I can feel a few late nights coming on :/
