A loud bang which sparked a deluge of calls to emergency services across a large part of England was a sonic boom from a Typhoon aircraft, the Ministry of Defence says.
Missed yours but 2 weeks ago we had a real mini typhoon touch down in the middle of town about 5.30 am, tore a couple of dozen houses to shreds and racked off. Still cleaning up mess, we were lucky, heard it go past only.
