I know someone who had a test drive in one, he said it drove well but it was a bit basic inside. He decided to stick with his Mondeo ST as it was better all round will lots of toys.

I like the look of the VRS but after 2 Mondeo ST's and now a Titanium X Sport I will be sticking with the Ford, hard to beat at the moment for the price

Mate has had a 03 18t one for last 3 years. He has a mobile DJ business and when he drops the seats it can take the same amount of gear as his escort van did Had its fair share of the usual problems coil packs, O2 sensors , expensive breather pipes but apart from that he loves it and it will be replaced by a diesel one. He's a bit tight when it's comes to servicing his cars tho and keeps them years so he's not going to like the 4 year cambelt changes only thing I'm not keen on is they do drive like a BIG car Drive one and you will see what I mean! But all said there a nice car and there's a lot worse out there for more money
      Cheers paul

^^ yes they do respond well to a remap my mate had a 2011 model picked it up on a Saturday it was in by the Monday being mapped lol. He's changed it already tho cos he had twins a few months ago and it wasn't suitable lol

I like to look of these and the preformace figures but end of the day I need something that returns a decent mpg pleanty of power comfortable and lots of gadgets

My Mondeo had passed 100k now and is still doing 54mpg so maybe its best to get another mondeo soon

                          Alan,

we've had 2 of these, a black Fabia 05 plate that went everwhere & done a lot of miles......even at a constant 80 to 90mph it was showing 55mpg. Even as a standard car without a re-map it was a great car to drive.

We had one of the last special editions in electric blue with black leather & wish we had kept it but just couldn't justify it sitting unused for most of the time. If you are going for a Fabia then look for one of the special editions as it has the heated leather, cruise, multi-chenger, etc.

Very under rated cars & cant really fault them !!

I tried the wife to have another but she prefers my Navara & it does less than 1/2 the mpg......grrrrrr !!

                          Hope this helps !!

                          Cheers,
                          David
