Nice letter from the tax man

I owe then thousands of pounds by there records

I havent been paying tax on my company car
I DONT HAVE A COMPANY CAR

I havent paid tax on the £12000 pension they say I have been paid for the last 3 years
I DONT HAVE ANY SUCH PENSION

They request imedeate payment of this money I owe them for benifits I do not recieve or never have recieved

So the plan was to call the idiots to find out what is going on

Dialed the required number to be spoke to by a tape machine a few times before being told to refer to a web site and being cut off

Called again and this time had to listen to music for 35 minutes before being cut off again

Called again this time 30 minutes of music and finaly got to speak to some human voice

Explained the situation and put on hold for another 25 minutes

Guy then tells me all the letter I have been sent are a lot of nonsence and again put on hold

30 minutes later cut off

Gave up with the idiots

There stance is if they say you owe money they will take it and it it up to you to prove that you dont before they consider giving it back

As a matter of interest a work mates wife work for a tax enquirey office and she said it is normal to put customers on long hold with the hope they will give up waiting and then if the case is to complex just hang up

What do we need to do the resolve problems with these fools

Isn't this the way of public services/bodies in the UK?
The passport agency etc etc...

Like someone said above, they make the demand and you pay up.

I was two days late with my VAT return last year and was fined over a grand One guy at HMRC said, "don`t worry mate, we`ll come for your house"

Never paid it, then they send in the heavies, paid it now

So much for the government helping small businesses, who in turn employ people.

havnt paid uk income tax for 4 years, had an investigation last year lasted the time it takes to open my passport and tell them to **** off out my house!!

it was a great feeling, however you can guarantee the minute im over the amount of days i have in england they'll be back round

I thought you had to work to pay tax and get a rebate

You normally get 90 days too pay up or else they take your house/make you re-mortgage !!!! Then they charge you interest (but at a higher rate than the banks pay out)
