Firstly a nice car you have there

Having read the recent threads re this car it would appear that it has been stood for much of it's life after the resto ,most probably your journey has been the longest it has ever done since the build and the diff ( if set up correctly when built ) will be quite tight and they are prone to making quite alot of noise , cracking and clunking when the plates slip on corners ,sounds like they have fallen apart at times .
As said above give it another rag about to loosen things up
    Cheers

Those diffs sound shite and sound knackered even when they are brand new , lol . Get an ATB diff instead or ear muffs !!!

put some new b373 diff oil in just to be safe, then ignore the noise if it only occurs when the diff has warmed up.you should also be able to feel it .

diff was built useing a new 3.54 c&p and a new tran,x plate type slipper unit and the diff was sent to tran,x and built by them so should be ok
the car has done around 400 miles since i built it so the rear shoes might need resetting and a clean up but it did have new drums new shoes new cylinders and a new spring kit with new adjusters aswell!. so they may have just locked on or a shoes liner has come off ?????
i'm sure it will be a easy fix.

                Thanks for all the replies
I'm off for it rolling road tuning tomorrow which will be a 40 Mile Journey so I'll see what happens on the way there.
If that's the way it's meant to be then all well & good
It's just when you're not used to the sound that it makes every sense in your body tells you to stop driving as you're doing some damage somewhere
                I'll report back tomorrow

it is a 2.1 harris pinto stage 3 bv head forged pistons cossy rods on 45's
the rest is normal stuff that you would do to a 2.1 very good power fro 45's would be better on 48's but more undrivable!
