    Well tomorrows the day......................
I go & pick up RRR 60R in the Morning
Can't wait now to get it back home & start using it
It's booked in at Nobles Motorsport on Tuseday for a Rolling Road Tune up as it's not been run properly since being built in 2008 Then it should be all ok for the Lakes Tour
I may tweak a few styling things, creature comforts etc but other than these it will be essentially as built by Paul (RS2000&Mexico) back in 2007/8 & it still looks as Fresh in the Flesh today as it was at Santa Pod back in 08 if anyone can remember seeing it back then?
I've been looking for a MK1 or MK2 Escort now for a number of years & I've travelled thousands of miles in that time searching for 'the one'
I've never actually owned an 'Old School' Ford, or any old school car for that matter, before! I've had plenty of Fast Fords from 2 x XR3i's, Capri 2.8i Special, 3 x Escort Cosworth's, 2 x Focus RS MK1's, Modern Mustangs, F150 Lightning & 2 x Focus RS MK2's
So hopefully I've made the correct choice with RRR Lets Hope so

Classic Ford 2008 was the last Classic Ford show I went too, only seems like last week.

Here's a couple of dodgy looking characters asking Paul how he manages to reach the pedals in RRR (only joking Paul)

                      Well what a day
Went to pick up RRR this morning
I wasn't going to drive as I've never really driven one of these cars before so rather than making a total mess of things I left that to Steve (s17yde) on here
We even called in on our way back home to look at another RS that was for sale for one of my friends.
So we left there & all was a ok. Spirited Motorway Drive & all was well.
Then last bit of Motorway ended with a roundabout no problem as Steve braked for that but then when he set off again there was something not quite right
Pulled in at the Petrol Station just down the road & there was a horrible crunching / grating noise We all thought the Diff had packed up as the noise was coming from Both Rear Wheels
Phoned Paul (RS2000&Mexico) who built the car for a bit of advice really, put the Phone to the Rear Wheels as we moved the car forward slowly, that doesn't sound good at all was the response Best Phone Trans X in the Morning
So we had to phone the RAC & RRR came to its new home on the back of a Recovery Truck
Must admit I did question what I'd done more than once as I'm used to cars that are totally reliable
But................when we drove the car off the truck there was no noise Coming from the Rear Wheels
So maybe it was just the Brakes that were Binding?? But it sounded so much worse than that when we stopped.
So I took RRR for a drive around the Block and all was OK!
I went for another slightly longer drive with a steepish descent & you guessed it the Brakes started Binding Again
So tomorrow I'll remove the Rear Drums & have a look see!
Thankfully it hasn't turned out no where near as Bad as what we 1st thought, phew!! 😏😏
I must say the Car Sounds Awsome & hopefully if I get the Brakes sorted it's booked in for a Roling Road Tune on Tuesday
So then I can give it a proper Blast on Weds
What a Day of mixed emotions

Serious question, has it got a plate type LSD in it??
Cos, you might find it's that that's making the noise!!
Which would also make sense for it happening after a long Motorway run then a roundabout!
Plus, it would be okay again when you got it back as it would have cooled down so when you initially took it off the wagon, it would have been quite.
A quick drive round the block - it would be quite.
Take it for a good thrash, and it will make noise

I found this out after I had mine fitted and took it to the ring

I thought something had gone wrong but when I left the car for a while, got back in it and it didn't make any noise!
Did a lap and the noise was back!!

Even took it back to the hotel to check the car over
                            Cheers

Yes it has a Trans X Plate type LSD
So are you saying that it'll be OK?
Because it was making a hell of a racket, a horrible clicking / crunching noise
