Before you decide on that gearbox take a look here http://www.gearboxman.co.uk/ , heard nothing but praise about bernies gearboxes most of the big power cossie , rst , owners have these incl dingy whose car is around the 450bhp mark

Paul, I wouldn't be hacking up that GL as it's one Minty motor and equally I wouldn't want to use the mex. I would look for another shell in need of arches and then you won't feel so bad about cutting it up. But DONT cut up that loverly Yellow car, It's just such a waste!

Trawl Ebay (or elsewhere) for an already done Gp4 shell and save yourself a lot of grief and agro not to mention money!! I'm sure a man with your resources will pick up a ready to go GP4 shell from somewhere!

Last time I phoned Gartrac they wanted £7500 to turn a good shell into GP4 spec and that was a few years ago now
