Camera help

Hi guys
I've had a plain old digital camera for probably 10 years and now its finally died!
So i've gone and bought myself a Hitachi HDC-1098E 10mp but i can't take a good pic with it. Unless its on a stand all i can get is blurry pics.
Can anyone suggest anything to sort it out and help me please before it ends up at the bottom of the garden

Not just yet mate! I've put it down and made a brew

How do i sort the shutter speed?

Just googled your cam, what setting is it on now, maybe choose an action or sport mode and see how it goes, not sure if you can set shutter speed on it

I had it on user setting and anti shake but its even worse on Anti shake

Get down the camera shop for some hands on free advice, the geeks working in those shops are usually more than happy to help
