I recommend Paisley Feight...they took some tyres for me that Parcels to Go missed each and every day for a week...

Have you tried Parcel2Go Alan? I've just used them today to take a pair of MGB leaf springs to Cheshire, 20Kg and only £8.99 + vat. They give you options and I ended up with City Link next day.

Only problem is, the person the other end would have to do it (I think)

I have used Worldwide Parcel Service , Parcel2Go and Parcel2Ship all very good services. I use DHL mostly as I get lots sent off to Germany but they also list companies like CityLink etc for UK parcels.
